Trevor Lawrence Set to Return to Practice for Jaguars Ahead of Week 13 Matchup
Trevor Lawrence will return to practice for the Jaguars after missing two games due to an injury, with decisions about his return pending.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to welcome back their quarterback after a two-week absence due to an AC joint sprain in his left (non-throwing) shoulder. Head coach Doug Pederson announced that Trevor Lawrence will return to practices this week. However, the decision on his availability for Week 13 will be made later in the week.
In Lawrence's absence, Mac Jones took over and struggled in two consecutive losses against the Vikings and Lions, throwing three interceptions and completing only 31 of 51 passes for 249 yards. These defeats now place the Jaguars at a dismal 2-9 for the season, and they find themselves in a position to secure the No. 1 overall pick for the third time in five years.
The Need for Improvement
This disappointing performance has raised concerns not only about the need for more talent on the roster but also about Lawrence's level of play this season. The team is currently last in the league in both total yards and passing yards defense, which exacerbates their challenges on the field.
