Lubbock Woman Dies in Early Morning Car Rollover Crash in Floyd County

The identification of the victim in a recent tragic accident in Floyd County has been revealed by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The victim, Ashlee Breann Stevens, a 22-year-old resident of Lubbock, was driving a 2016 Nissan Rouge when the incident occurred.

At approximately 3:24 a.m. on a Sunday morning, Ms. Stevens was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 62, close to mile marker 378 in Floyd County. It was reported that she failed to navigate a curve, leading her vehicle into the improved shoulder of the road. Subsequently, she lost control, causing the vehicle to enter a side skid on the west side of the roadway, resulting in a roll-over before coming to a halt.

Tragic Outcome

Sadly, Ms. Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the crash. It was revealed that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Both the road and weather conditions were reported to be dry and clear, respectively, during the time of the incident.
