The warning was in place until nearly 11 p.m. Brandon Wasilewski, a meteorologist with the Weather Service in Morristown, estimated that three to five inches of rain fell over the Pigeon Forge area within a two-hour period on Sunday. The intense weather transformed the typical afternoon activities of food, music, and entertainment into a drenching experience. The park suffered significant damage due to the flooding, impacting its infrastructure and the safety of its visitors.
The severe weather had a substantial impact on Dollywood, causing damage to its facilities and posing risks to the visitors' safety.
